Hiking Season

Pass the time in Teton Valley with a hike up Grove Creek in the Big Hole Mountains.

A little route finding with friend and local fireman, Rusty.

Enjoy the view!

Or you can try Table Mountain and get as close to the Grand Teton as you can without tying on a rope.

Planning future hikes with The Annas.

Or give Green Lakes a whirl.

Kyla liked it.

Jen and E are ready for snacks. Snow City.

Fields of flowers.

Moose like to hike too!

Dallas to Driggs

Long, long ago, it started with a factory tour.

And then last week, there was the picture.

Followed by some geysers.

And some mountains.

And some music.

Don't forget a healthy serving of sun with a side of Bloody Marys.

The Tetonia Rodeo

The city girl in me rolls her eyes, but my western side says ‘How early can we get there?’ It’s a complete experience:

Spurs.

Cowboys.

Mutton bustin'.

A spectacular view.

PBR and apple newtons (BYO).

Barrel racing.

Rodeo Queens.

Eatin’ a burger.

Bull Riding.

Welcome Summer!

Snow finally stopped falling in time for 4th of July. The parade is held on Main Street in Victor. There is noticeable absence of marching bands (or even just one), but there are lots of fun floats and businesses represented. It’s also a big political year in the County, so the Sherriff candidates and county commissioners were out in full force throwing candy and kissing babies.

Crazy city councilman on crazy bike.

Human Huckleberry Shakes on the Victor Emporium Float.

Teton High School Cheerleaders. Too cute!

TBD Paiute Street Blog regulars, Randy and Jen ride their tandem bike for Teton Valley Trails and Pathways. The bikers are pulling a pickup!

Valleyites enjoying the sunshine and the parade.

There was one low point. This (ahem) gentleman wearing a Celtics t-shirt and a Yankees hat. It's just wrong.

Eastbound

We headed to New England in June, me for work and play and Maz for just play.

Thanks to Ray and Nicole for hosting us in Pittsburg, NH, which is about 20 miles south of the Canadian border. We had a great time with the kids and the gastronomy!

Dock time.

Cole and Uncle Jay

Chase is busy on the construction site.

And busy smiling.

Melissa: 'Can anyone guess my favorite food?!?!?'

Thanks also to Gayle for putting up with the invasion of kids and kids in law and grandkids. Coach Road is also a haven of gastronomical delights, which is why I’ve been eating soup and smoothies for the last 2 weeks. (Pictures pending-the anticipation of film!)

We had a great time catching up with friends.

Deb, Chelsea and Jessi entertain me at Cibo, Jay and I's favorite North End Restaurant.

Too much laughing and Journey songs at the Plumer-Codere's in Sanford, ME. Jen, Christina and me.

Jay, E, James and Christina

Christina took me to Wells Beach in Maine to walk in the sand and pick up shells.

Laura and Jeff entrust us with their new twins, Jacob and Katelyn.

Amy entrusts me with her new chickens, which she is raising in her backyard in Holbrook, MA (about 15 miles south of downtown Boston and 7 minutes from the famed South Shore Mall. Brave!) I am amazed by her endless creativity, most recently manifested when she entitled this piece of artwork, 'The Chicken Whisperer.'

thirtyfour

This May, Maz turned 34. Pretty soon we will have to get a bigger toy box.

Indy Legos.

Indy Trilogy.

Have a great year JTM!
