It's up for discussion with the locals, but winter is here! Sunday, 3 1/2 inches of the fluffy white landed on my deck railing.

It was a beautiful, quiet day here, perfect for trying a couple new recipes. I stirred and chopped and sauteed and baked until I had a vegetarian sheperd's pie-delicious and hearty. I complemented the Little House on the Prairie style main entree with a spinach salad with toasted almonds, pears and gorgonzola. Not a bite left!
